4. Program Instructors

The program instructors are a group of Sunrise Technology employees/engineers with direct experience designing, testing, and implementing the system. Leading instructor is Professor Dantong Yu, who has years of teaching and research experiences in the field of machine learning.

5. Program Structure

The program structure is centered around lectures where the students will learn the relevant concepts and a lab portion where they can apply what they learned in a more hands on way. 

Day 1. F1/10 Autonomous Driving Vehicle Introduction, Hand-on drive the real radio-controlled vehicle in-door and out-door, practice and control your car from your desk. 

Day 2. Introduction to Deep Learning and Self-Driving System Break-Down: Traxxas 1/10 RC Car, Cell Phone Programming, Hardware Components, Programming Environment

Day 3. Python Programming Basic and Machine Learning Basics (Linear Algebra, Probability, and Gradient Descend)
Basic Software Install Anaconda, Google Colab
Day 4. Linear Neural Networks
Day 5. Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), your first Deep Neural Networks Models

Day 6. Convolutional Neural Networks for Self-Driving

Day 7. Advanced Convolutional Neural Networks for Self-Driving; 
Afternoon:  Indoor Data Collection Training and Testing Self Driving with the five most popular Convolutional neural Networks models. 

Day 8. Object Detection Networks. Model Training and Testing Day (In-door close-loop track)

Day 9. Model Training and Testing Day (Out-door-parking lots)

Day 10. Parents’ day, Robotic Racing Competitions (Fast, Furious, and Safe), and graduation and certification ceremony
